With many academic programs for students to choose from on the surface it gives a feel that learning & college readiness is the most important thing here, but sometimes that is not the case because there are some low performing teachers who exude unprofessionalism. Do not get me wrong there are many exceptional teachers. The school is disorganized and has been since my freshman year. The administration lacks proper communication with everyone. What I can say is that I have seen little to no bullying at SSICP & if there was the admin nips that in the bud quickly. I want to see this school get better, but the four years I have been here I have only seen it go further downhill. Also the schools definitely needs to improve their SAT & ACT readiness. LGBTQ, other cultures, other races, & religions/beliefs are definitely welcomed here! Sports & extracurriculars are also very present in the school. The lunch is good & the cafeteria workers are nice! The custodians are nice too!

What I like about South Shore International College Prep is how they put focus into each class. Each class/year always have a certain project or activity to do to move on to the next course and South Shore International puts all their focus into each graduating year just so these classes won't seem like they're not doing anything. I also enjoy the freedom students get because they're trusted to do what they do and I respect that. I also love how the staff is so involved and create activities or fundraisers to happen every month which I really enjoy. The school interior is also very nice and well kept. The student to teacher relationships varies because the teachers are welcoming and willing to even help the quiet students that keep to themselves. Overall, South Shore International College Prep is a great school because they do put their main focus into preparing you for college; they make sure that you are on top of your grind and won't end up as a slacker unless you choose that path.
My name is Andre A. Stewart and I attend South Shore International College Preparatory. Over the years approving as a student and athlete. It has been an amazing process. I would like to share this process with you. From the beginning to the current. Growing up on the Southside of Chicago, was the biggest struggle of my life. SSICP staff members and teachers showed me they are willing to help you for now and the future.
