The staff here is absolutely useless. Most teachers do not want to do their job, and I don't even know who my counselor is. There is a wide range of extracurriculars and activities, and the school itself has many diverse opportunities. However, its in serious need of a refurbishment and cleanup. Both the school and the staff. There was genuinely only one helpful teacher and she was my 11th grade English teacher, who inspired me to become an English teacher after not knowing what to do with my life.
South Plantation gave me opportunities to meet new people as well as experience new things. I thank them because I am now open to speaking up and trying new things. It’s also a place where I met staff members and became friends with them.
It’s a nice school everyone gets along great, people are really nice the the teachers and staff care about your safer and learning, they always make sure we’re okay and always tell us how to improve.
Best:
-Very welcoming environment
-Teachers that are kind, respectful, caring, and strive to provide top-tier education to all students
-Informative and worth while field trips
-Large array of College-Level Courses (AICE and AP Programs) and Career-Based Courses
-Vast amount of diverse clubs and a variety of sports
Worst:
-Students' respect for the health of the campus and environment
-Some students' lack of respect for officials
-Occasional unruly behavior
Proposed changes:
-Greater enforcement of taking care of the campus and environment
-Greater emphasis on respecting those who allow the school to function and maintain tranquility
-Expand list of AICE and AP courses that are provided

My experience at south plantation high school has been great. The teachers have done everything they can for the students by teaching what's on benchmark tests, and helping prepare us for the future. South plantation has many opportunities for higher education and environmental studies. While being in the magnet program at south i have taken feild trips and had courses to take to learn about different environmental factors, and how to protect out environment.
South Plantation is a decent school, although the teachers aren’t impressionable during my freshman year i was called the “N-er” by a White ASL teacher, and the staff can be rude on involuntary moments. But moving on I’ve had my fair shares of Extraordinary people and learning segments.
It is difficult to find teachers that enjoy teaching and are dedicated to their jobs, there are constant fights and a lack of diversity in after-school clubs. The counselors also do not help with college decisions or course planning. The food is very low-quality and most students prefer not to eat. However, there are a few teachers that are patient and kind with students, the faculty is very sweet and encourages us to do well, and the magnet program for environmental science is very well-developed. The sports teams are very successful as is the theatre program. There is a wide variety of races and ethnicities of our school and many parents are dedicated to raising money and supporting the school.
I attended South Plantation in the environmental magnet program so I don't have a view of what the regular school was like. But from my time there, I really enjoyed the STEM classes like engineering and programming. The food wasn't great like all public foods. The field trips were awesome and the guidance counselors always there for me.
South Plantation High School is a great place to learn and grow. The moment you step onto campus, you'll feel the warm and friendly atmosphere that makes it so special. The teachers there truly place the students first before anything. They express a powerful interest in their well-being and overall progress throughout the school.
Academically, South Plantation High School offers a wide variety of challenging courses. Whether you're interested in advanced placement classes, honors programs, College-level classes, Dual Enrollment, or career-focused pathways, there's something for everyone. The school encourages students to explore their passions and excel in their studies.

South Plantation has a wide range of diversity which is what I can say I love about the school. What I like about south is the school offers lots of ways students can get involved in the community and school activities. This school is always incorporating fun and different things.
I’m enjoying my time at South. I’m in chorus, which is fun, and i’ve auditioned for school plays. I like that South has many things to offer, there’s something for everyone.
For me south plantation was the perfect school. It’s a nice and quiet school where you can complete your education and stay drama free.
The school is great and offers amazing programs for overachieving students like Cambridge and Magnet. Although safety outside of the Magnet classes can be an issue.
My son is a Senior at South. The school has a wonderful Magnet program for preserving the Florida Everglades. They also implemented Cambridge (AICE) courses for college credits. I am very happy with the administration as well.
Honesty south isn' a very good shool. lots of teachers have left due to a variety of reason and most of them were the best teachers there. also if your not in the magent program you don't get very good teachers. Magnet and higher level classes are better but the schools guidence is really struggling to do well.
I liked the many opportunities they offered us students to take college classes. It was the boost we needed to be a step ahead in college.
My experience at South Plantation was overall pretty good. The majority of the staff is hard working and cares about student success, however it is important to advocate for yourself because I often found that in order to get things done I needed to speak to 5 different people.
Also I feel there is a definite bias in what the school gives to their magnet program in comparison to their regular students. Magnet students get much more opportunities, but entry into the program can be expensive. I participated in it and paid upwards of 150 in freshman year alone.
There are many teachers who have taught at South for years and love their Jobs and their students. But there are also lots of teachers who do not. I found that the teachers of higher level classes often care more about the curriculum than teachers of standard to lower level classes.
For students entering the magnet: Its a really wonderful, hands on program for outdoorsy people and its 100% worth the cost, time ,and effort.
