Overall my experience at my school has been full of great experiences and opportunities. I've accomplished many important awards and honor rolls during my school years there. The teachers I've had, have been supportive when needed.

It was a good school for kids who don’t enjoy or focus in regular school. I enjoyed it cause I only have to go for 3 hours out of the day. It was hard for me to focus in school after getting left back, but South Philadelphia High school made a way for me. I thank them for that!

The best parts of my experience at South Philadelphia high school was, the teachers. The teachers were all amazing I got along well with all of them. They made me excited to attend school every and be prepared ready to learn. While my bad experience unfortunately were the students. I felt there was bullying problem going around the school that wasn’t fully addressed and resolved. I felt there should’ve been more discipline actions towards certain students as well. My experience at South Philadelphia high school, wasn’t fully bad. I had good moments however, I feel they’re things involving the school they need to improve on.

I transferred to the school in the 12th grade when the charter school that I was attending for my previous three years of schooling closed down. I was in a new environment, in a completely different section of the city, right in the height of the COVID pandemic. The teachers made me feel welcomed to join the South Phila family. When it was time to graduate, I had my college path clearly outlined because of the exceptional counselors. Although short, I will always remember my time at this school.

What I like about South Philadelphia High School is that the teachers would help out with almost anything that is related to our classes or just about school in general. And what can be improved is the facilities in the school such as fixing some major or minor damages inside the classes and other rooms, the sports facilities should be improved, and the bathrooms should be more cleaner. Another thing that I feel like can be improved is how people especially students in the school treat others, because most of the time a lot of students are disrespectful towards the staff or even other students.

It is a roller coaster of emotions being in school. you would need a lot of patience to be in that school. I definitely think a lot should be changed like the rostering process.

I've had a very good experience at this school. I had good teachers that have helped me when I have need it. The lunch isn't bad and the lunchroom looks really good. The bathrooms are horrible though, but overall the school isn't bad.

My name is Mina Ta and I’ve been attending South Philadelphia High School ever since I was a freshman. School has been pretty average, I hate how there are students who are very immature and have called me derogatory terms but I also love how the teachers are extremely good at what they’re doing and are willing to help you. This school overall isn’t terrible but I would like to see change in the behavior of some students. My advice to anyone who will attend here is just be confident in who you are and surround yourself with positive people and stay away from drama.

I had a great experience here in South Philadephia High School, I made many friends, the teacher here are friendly and make learning fun. This High school has many clubs for students to join and if you have an idea, you are more than welcome to present that idea. I feel like many people in the city of Philadelphia don't give much credit to this high school for its past experience but overall I believe this high school got better compared to its past.

It has supportive teachers and if you are willing to communicate with your teachers, they are willing to work with you after school or give you the extra support you need.

I had a great experience at South Philadelphia High School. I met some amazing new people and teachers and learned life lessons with my experience going there every day. I took up Culinary Arts there and learned plenty and use what I learned such as customer service, hospitality, food service, and more.

Coming to South Philadelphia high school as a freshman, about to leave the high school as a senior. I going to say that the school great in learning, and the teacher are fantastic without a doubt.

It is a really safe place despite the reputation. The teachers are excellent and everyone treats you well. Everyone is more than happy to help you.

Coming to South Philadelphia High and living has a 12 graders, was just an Amazing moments. Teachers, Staffs, Students are all helpful in everything.

South Philadelphia high school has been a wonderful experience. Not only these years I have accomplished in that school, but also each days, weeks, months, and even years of me going to school & coming back home with new skills. The teacher are for helpful, caring & they understand the needs of student what matter.
The only way I can describe South Philadelphia high school would be in this was. “South Philadelphia high School have fantastic high school to me & my fellows teammates”.

I want to add more AP math class.This school has statistic class, but I want to learn more difficult math knowledge. Computer science class is perfect.

I like it that you have to be independent at South Philadelphia High School. There are always resources to help everyone in the school, but you have to find it.

The teachers and overall staff were a great influence on the students. Encouraging, motivating and all too inspiring. However the curriculum wasn't too challenging and the hygiene wasn't too great as well.

I'm grateful for the experience

Certain teachers care more than others. They try to make sure that we get the best out of our day.
