Generally speaking, South Newton Senior High School is a decent school. The school offers a considerable variety of AP courses and the teachers are more than qualified to teach those subjects. However, there are some problems with the academics at South Newton. Since the school is located in a rural area, a significant amount of the electives available pertains to agriculture. While these classes are beneficial, the school could improve the electives by offering more classes that explore other career options. The diversity at the school is another problem I hope is fixed in the upcoming years. The school is predominantly composed of Caucasian students. This limits the opportunities for students to learn how different backgrounds can influence certain ways of thinking and to respect each other's differences.
Throughout my years of high school, this school has always had many teachers strive to help their students succeed. Many of the staff are very supportive and help the students with their various problems using a variety of resources.
Great school, everyone is very friendly and helpful. The small school gets along very well and offers a great amount of help in your academic journey. Some things aren't the most proper though, there are times of favoritism and the AP and dual credit classes aren't always credited to the students.
