South Miami Senior High is a school that offers many great things for students. It's the number one with the best teachers that always assist to class and always know what to do in every situation with every single students. It's a school that offers amazing clubs and activities that help all students in many different ways. Safety, South Miami Senior High has a great amount of securities all around the school to protect students no what the situation is. The food they serve it's the perfect one to keep students awake with a great energy during the entire day Delicious! Also let me tell you more this school counts with a variety of sports for males and females. Last but not least, it counts with parent involvement great right? I believe this is very important for parents to always be involve on school projects with their kids. Finally I attended South Miami and was a fantastic experience.

The school is really run down and it feels like the administration doesn't really care about the students. They have had student posters taken down and regularly force the television magnet students to drop things from the newscast because of complaints from parents. As should be expected with Miami, this school is not somewhere where people are going to treat you respect even if you ask for it.

But this school isn't especially bad, only at worst mediocre. The football team never wins anything, there's a rampant drug problem now especially thanks to e-cigarettes (at least once every week now I am smelling pot when I pass by a bathroom), and the magnet programs offered here aren't competitive by any stretch. South Miami is just a C school with expensive magnet programs to bring people in from out of the area in order to stay competitive, relevant, and well-funded.
I was a student in South Miami High School under the music magnet program through the years 2013-2017. South Miami also had three other art strands such as photography, digital design, and video production. Aside from its expanded arts programs, South Miami did indeed have a variety of events that demonstrated their pride and joy for the community and its students.
However, although this School has all these positive and joyful experiences, I do believe that South Miami should be willing to improve on certain aspects. What I saw and experienced was the irresponsibility of certain professor. A handful of teachers in this school are not putting forth their title as an educator and I believe the best way to improve the matter is to have staff meetings and pinpoint the issue at hand, to see what can be done as a team, and insure that their students get the proper education they need.
