What I liked most about South Haven is the bonds I created with my friends. bonds that will never be broken and memories that will never be lost. The thing I would want to change most is for the school to have no bullying and everybody be happy
South Haven is full of wonderful people, and it shows with everything we do. My class is always cheerful and laughing, even with that bomb threat that happened. I can see so much potential in my classmates, and I believe this school is the perfect place for them. Although it doesn't have the best education system in the world, and it lacks options involving class scheduling, South Haven is still absolutely amazeballs, simply because of the mortals.
South Haven is a school with about 200 students Pre K - 12. At South Haven, productiveness is not very high on a daily basis and not much goes on. Pride to go to school here has never been very good. Most of the people here have never been exposed to life outside of the area and I have felt like that will become a problem in the future. Something I wish would change is more exposure to real life situations and problems adults face.
I loved South Haven. I didn't come to South Haven till my freshman year. I never planned too come to South Haven. I was originally gonna go to Newkirk High school because I was already going to school there my eighth grade year. My parents got a call from my aunt to see if I wanted to come play football at south Haven. As soon as I started my first week of conditioning I already was hooked. Everyone was nice and really supportive. The school was very impressive on how professional they handled their business and how welcoming they were to new students. My decision to come to South Haven was the best choice my whole High School career.
The school is a very small school, but because of this the other students and myself have became closer throughout the years we have been to this school.
We are gaining higher classes over the years, and many teachers to not have enough experience to teach that certain class. For example, our science teacher teaches physical science, biology, environmental science, chemistry, physics, and human anatomy. She struggles with new classes because we cannot afford to hire new teachers or have enough room to bring more teachers in. So many teachers are teaching themselves while teaching the students.
School nurse is not the best. Treats unnecessary problems, such as if a student has a stomach ache, she will wrap the child's head in gauze.
Bullying is a often occurring problem, along with attendance. Many kids show up at noon, simply because it does not effect them, (tardies, detention, ineligibility)
I believe there are a lot of kids at my school that fall into peer pressure so that they can fit in. New kids aren't accepted at first when they first move to our school. There are a lot of races kids at our school are kids that make fun of people for their race or there ethnic.
The school I'm attending is South Haven. South Haven is a small school. On the bright side with a small school you get a lot of one on one teaching and learn a lot. On the other side some teachers play favorites and there is a lot of drama.
