The people here are horrible, referring to the students. The athletic coaches often coach a sport they know nothing about, taking all the fun out of the sport. The schools appearance inside and out is just plain unappealing. It’s a dated school, needs to be modernized. Classes are filled to the max capacity. 31 students to one teacher. There a good things! The college and career center is extremely helpful, as well as the counselors. We have FAFSA, which helps with financial aid for students wanting to go to college. The work load is an average amount, and the AP classes are the perfect challenge with dedicated teachers.

I like how diverse the school really is. The sports are great to watch and actually get a high school experience with Friday night lights! Academics are really big in this school, teachers do try to help you do what’s best for you and get you ready for college. Administrators do help with trying to prepare you for college and help out with applying also.
Although SGP has its flaws however there are many programs, clubs, and organizations where you can meet new friends and reconnect with old ones. Myself, I am apart of the Warrior Band but I am soon joining more clubs. What is also amazing is the partnership with Mountain View Community College where members of Early College are able to learn in a college class as early as freshman year. I have taken about 6 college class along the lines as Bussines, Health and Speech. This organization has provided a sense of community not only to the students but with their educators. I love ECHS so much but I also love my band family. They teach me a hard work ethic and confidence. The food might not be 5 stars or the dress code ridiculous at times, there is something SGP provides that I, personally, need.
