I have an overall good experience as a student at South Forsyth High School. The school provides a range of on level, honors, AP, and even IB courses. This allows us, students, to find what our interests may be through our studies. The teachers also help us be where we want to be with study resources, extra help sessions, and extra credit opportunities. I am an active attendee of many different clubs like National English Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, National Technical Honors Society, FCCLA, and Junior Civitan. I am so grateful to attend this high school and become an alumnus in a few months. Go Eagles!

I am in the International Baccalaureate Programme(highest level of academic rigor. IB teachers are the most experienced at our school, and I have had few issues with incompetent teaching in this program. One issue is lack of diversity. The school is mostly Asian or white, and underrepresented minority voices are lost in the 3000+ student body). Another issue is the overcrowding at our school compromising the quality of the educational experience. Classes are often overfilled to 30-40 students, and there is a maximum of 10 counselors to take on thousands of students.
I moved to Forsyth County during my Sophomore year. Moving to a new school during your high school years is hard enough, but finding out you will need open heart surgery during the first year, will test everything about you. The support I received from South Forsyth HS was truly amazing. From the Counselor to the Principal, nursing staff and teachers, the support touched my family deep! I had teachers even come to the hospital! I could not ask for anything more from a school!
