South County High School Reviews

My favorite aspect of the school is that the faculty at South County High School is also highly qualified and dedicated to helping students succeed. Teachers at the school have a wealth of experience in their respective subjects and work closely with students to ensure they are receiving the support they need. Additionally, the school provides counseling services to help students navigate their academic and personal lives.

I've had an absolutely amazing experience at South County, but everyone's experience is a little different and I've heard many different opinions regarding the school. There's many academic and extracurricular opportunities (ex: extensive course offerings, state-renowned sports teams, state/nationally competitive fine art departments, etc.) but you'll only out of the school whatever you put in--I know many people who barely get involved and therefore hate their time at the school. There's many ways to become connected, and the overall atmosphere is very accepting and progressive. There's something for everyone, and no matter what type of community you prioritize (sporty, academic, ethnic, LGBTQ, emo, etc.), you can easily find people that you connect with.
My experience was 50/50. I love the staff , etc . Everybody is welcoming and they are very diverse. The things that I love about my high school is that everybody helps one another , including the teachers students , staffs , etc. The principal is just what we need , he also goes around making sure everyone's safe and having a great day. South County High School helps it's student to be ready for their future ,, especially if their a senior , but they encourage you to start talking about your future while you're a freshman so you have a headstart. The academics , clubs & participation, etc is great! The parents love being involved and the course selections are top-tier , I never thought I would have choices like how I did at South County High School. I have not seen anything that I would love to see change about the school.
