My experience at South Broward high school was unforgettable. Thanks to my amazing teachers and peers, we all value education. Our principal, Ms. Brown, is open to student suggestions for activities to make schooling fun and loves us students to be included. Coming to school everyday was never dreadful. I felt safe and at home. I also enjoyed my extracurriculars offered here, such as volleyball, soccer, water-polo. I was parliamentarian of a club called Florida Future Educators of America. And finally, my biggest achievement was earning my CDA, (child development associate), which is a national certification that enables me to work with children ages 0-5. At South Broward, they offer a daycare program that students will learn and teach children of many ages. This is where I earned 300 service hours!

South Broward High School is a very interesting school with many benefits for its students. As a student at South Broward, I notice that are school participates in many programs that some others schools don't. They have a variety of scholarship and college opportunities. Some include Bright Futures, Cambridge Program, Dual Enrolment, picking A Junior for a full ride scholarships to partnering schools. As far as diversity goes, this school has a variety of diffrent students. From Africa to Asia. Depending on the classes you take you will see diffrent kinds of students. The staff at South Broward High School is good. There are some, some teacher and staff who truly care for the students and their academic life. Coming from a student point of view, that is greatly appreciated. Two the only cons that I have about the school is the lack of understanding between student and adult and a non equal opportunity. Meaning it is sometimes harder for introverted kids to shine and dominant.
South Broward High School is a very friendly place. The majority of teachers truly care about their students learning and education. The environment is very neutral, there is never a problem with bullying. The school spirit is exceptional, everyone participates in school activities and spirit weeks. Students and teachers are very involved when it comes to school activities and events. If I had to suggest any changes to the school, I would add a better system for college preparation. The counselors in the school are not the best that they could be.
