My experience at South Broward has been great. They offer the fun that all high schools should offer, such as homecoming and homecoming week, field trips, holiday celebration week, prom, etc. They have some of the best teachers there, who put in the hard work that's needed to teach high school students. Their education is great! I feel though that they definitely need to change the way that some of administration acts and does their job(s). South Broward had a few difficulties with administration during the school year of 2017-2018. Juniors were penalized the most due to some faculty and/or administration members not being very cooperative with them about student schedules and other issues that were needing tending to. Besides that, South Broward high school is a great school!

I liked the collective school spirit that staff members inspire. It brings out togetherness in the student body! I feel comforted and acknowledged that my principal knows my face and my name. I love the how involved administration is and teachers are very aware and caring of students which makes students feel safe and welcomed. There is help everywhere you turn, from teachers who are great at handling emergencies or simply a media center for you to use a computer. South Broward is excellent at holding assemblies to raise awareness about topics such as gun violence, safe driving, and even got students to register to vote. There are many clubs for any student to enjoy, such as Best Buddies where disabled students and able-bodied students come together and raise money to have pizza parties together which lets our disabled students know they're just as amazing as we are, if not more!
The diversity and opportunities that South Broward offers is what initially attracted me to this school. With programs from Cambridge to Magnet, there is something for everyone at South Broward. Since the school is over 100 years old, the facilities are dated but functional. The school spirit is alive at South Broward. Principal Brown is lively and engaging with the student body. School events such as homecoming have high participation and energy. The guidance offices can be hard to reach at times due to the large student population. The campus is very large with multiple buildings, so it is very easy to get lost. However, there is always staff nearby ready to assist anyone. All in all, South Broward High School is a diverse and driven school.
