The South Aiken community is generally very supportive and inclusive. The school heavily promotes honors and AP classes, sometimes putting students who would perform better in a college preparation class in these higher level classes. South Aiken has some incredible teachers that love teaching and put their heart and soul into making sure their students succeed. In addition, there are some teachers that could care less about the performance of their students.

The school is mainly focused on the academics of the students. Your student will definitely be put in classes that will benefit them for the future of their college and put in classes that’ll challenge them. The main downfall of the school is the administration. They have poor preventative actions and an unstable way of dealing with issues. Whenever a situation occurs it’s like being told by an adult “you did this wrong please don’t do it again” in a begging fashion, not authoritative. They also punish every one of its approximate 1500 students if 1 does wrong, which is unfair for those academically inclined.
For the most part, the teachers at my school seemed to care about their students. During my time there, I was more of a quieter student who kept to themselves for the most part. I didn't make the best grades, even though I kept good relationships with the teacher. The bad grades were my fault for the most part, I just didn't put in the time to study. The college was kept pretty sanitary as well as the lockers and the libraries. Most of the teachers kept their political views out the classroom (something college professors need to do more of) and didn't discuss religious views quite too often either, though their views usually were seen through the way they taught certain curriculum. I was never a victim of bullying here, but I kept to myself and was a pretty tall and big dude during that time as well. I did witness bullying occur though, and a couple times saw sexual acts occur.
