The administration at SAHS introduced Power Hour this year. This seems to have helped with students receiving additional help from teachers, access to computers, and time for homework. However, more emphasis needs to be placed on the development of writing skills. Teachers need to utilize the computer systems for posting classwork, notes, schedules, grades, etc. The school website needs to include information for each of the clubs (i.e., purpose, meeting times/dates, agendas, etc.)

The facility itself is dated and is in need of renovations/enlargement. Science lab equipment is inadequate. More computer equipment needs to be available for students. Lockers are so small that students can't fit books and coats in the locker at the same time. The athletic facilities are subpar (weight room, baseball locker rooms and bathrooms, etc.)
Review South Aiken High School
I've been at South Aiken High School since 9th grade and the biggest issue i would say there is, is discipline. There's always fights going on, there was recently just a major blow out last week. For the amount of students that attend South Aiken and there's not many administration or supervision around when we're all confined to one space together. The one thing that's good about going to school there is the education that we are getting. Teachers are determined to inform you on their lessons and prepare you as much as the possibly can for the real world, but if chose not to listen or be attentive then that's on you, but i'm graduating this year and i'm determined to come out on time.
While there are always exceptions, most of the teachers at my school do just a hair above the bare minimal. This is especially prevalent with teachers that have less challenging classes and the freshman. Teachers had no given authority over the students which lead to class often being unruly. This discouraged many teachers from continuing to try and hurt the few students that were there to increase their knowledge. In most of the AP classes offered, teachers put in more effort, but several of the teachers didn't have adequate understanding of their subject to be able to teach it.
