This school was great as it did prepare me for college as it integrated all the courses together so you can get a deeper understanding of a topic. Class sizes are small so the teachers are able to build relationships with the students and provide more attention to the students to help them fully understand what they’re learning. The school is new so there’s always changes but it had prepared me greatly for college, I currently attend UCLA.

When I attended Sotomayor, I instantly liked the environment because not only did they have a farm, a football field, a wide space but the environment was somewhat friendly and nice. The academics were adequate and normal like any other school.
The School of History and Dramatic Arts is one of four high schools within the Sonia Sotomayor Learning Academies. It is one of the most diverse and welcoming schools that I have ever been enrolled in. The welcoming atmosphere that the teachers and staff provide is one that could not be acquired in a large, traditional high school. The drama aspect of the school is perfect for any student who would like to gain the confidence to be heard, but who still wants to receive a quality education.
