Throughout my four years at sonora, my favorite part was that it has always felt safe, and I knew that there would always be someone I could trust there, whether it be a teacher, counselor, or other student. Since my first year there, everyone has been friendly to each other despite differences and not knowing one another. Something that I would like to see change however is the school spirit. Even though everyone is incredibly friendly, I feel that the school spirit isn’t that high because Administration doesn’t always allow certain in school activities that other surrounding schools would allow. This is because Sonora is incredibly focused on academics so this could be seen as a positive as well.

I really enjoyed my time at Sonora High School. During those 4 years, I developed great friendships and life skills that I now use in everyday life. I am thankful for the staff and faculty that encouraged me in my academic growth and pushed be to better myself. I was challenged by the academic rigor of the Honors, AP and IB courses offered, which also greatly prepared me for college. The clubs and after-school sports offered allowed me to get to know other students with my interests and find a place I felt welcome. I would recommend Sonora High School for anyone!
So I am a senior and going to graduate in May of this year (2020). Overall, I had a good time at Sonora high school, but it wasn’t because of the school itself, but the people I met instead. The school is very average and all indoors which is a little strange you miss out on things that outdoor schools have but the temperature Is consistent at least. The school has some annoying rules and there are a few teachers and admin that get on my nerves but that’s any high school. We have sports and band but they aren’t anything to brag about. Overall very good.
