My experience at Somerset Arts Conservatory is one of time. I joined the Conservatory in 2017 which shares the same campus as Somerset Academy High School. It's the same teachers, same school, same treatment, just a different uniform and extra involvement in your desired art. As a part of the Conservatory band, I grew excellently. Ms. Rodriguez, the band director, is an extremely successful and resilient woman who is an amazing teacher and staff member. The school itself (both Conservatory and High) have an overwhelmingly family like environment to the whole school. Everyone in your class feels connected, everyone respects and understands the campus. The diversity of students was great, academics never shone bright but certainly did its job. Overall, my report of this school is that it's a great place to take your child and let them prosper. The environment is prime for strong independent student leaders and amazing peers that'll always be helpful.

I have been at Somerset Arts Conservatory for a small amount of time, but that does not mean the impact it has had on me is small. I have grown greatly as a person with Somerset. Your academic classes are based on your individual level, which is an efficient way to ensure all students feel challenged, yet able to complete their classes. As for the arts program, it is very rigorous. Students are accepted through serious auditions, so all classes are filled with hard working students dedicated to their craft. This has pushed me as a dancer in all dance classes I have attended at Somerset. I have been given opportunities to perform for my peers and show off the talent I was brought to the school for. The student makeup is vastly diverse. This shows in our school spirit days, when students can show pride for their native country by sharing traditions, food, and music with the rest of the school. Somerset has taught me many lessons, and I grow more and more with every year that passes.
Somerset Arts Conservatory is an overall good School. Administration cares about students needs and works to facilitate a professional school setting. I would like the theatre program to be more funded. Also, it would be nice if the school would invest in an auditorium since it is an arts school after all. Bringing back the choir conservatory would also beneficial in improving the standing of the school.
