I like Solorio is that it had advanced courses which student can take. Although Solorio changed to a STEM school theres still opportunities for students who are after the arts. There's different clubs as well as clubs students can organize with the help of a teacher. So educational wise I feel that the school does well because it allows for students to pursue their interests in a way.
However, something I do not like are some policies because students I feel are getting unfair punishments. It a student has their shirt untucked (we have uniforms) they can get detention. That is something I find unfair because I know of students who don't like to tuck in their shirts because they don't feel comfortable with how they look. They think tucking in their shirts makes them look fat so they feel insecure. Also the school expects students to be in uniform with the shirts the sell to the parents however the material isn't the best.

In Solorio, I have learned a lot of things that I did not know. The teachers are great, they have the patience to explain, and to answer all your questions. The school has different sport and clubs in which you can participate. Also, they gave awards if you have perfect attendance and advocate for others. They also have people that help a lot with college applications and are with you throughout the process. Also, the teachers do office hours in which if you do not understand something you can go and talk to the teacher for help, or extra practice.
After spending 3 years of my life here I know almost every little detail about this school. I am very glad that I chose to attend here after all the available schools. Solorio's teachers and staff are very helpful. Solorio offers many after school activities that are available to all students and there are also programs that are before school so that each student has a chance to participate in something. Plus, they do a really good job trying to prepare the students to real life and possibly college.
