Solano County Community Reviews

Pretty good professors! I like the Vallejo Campus the best. I've taken a few night classes which can be sketch at times.
I loved the campus scenery, very easy to get around. All of the professors that I have looked into can be found online for review of their classes. Multiple bus routes go through the front area of the school for easy transportation. I wish they offered more online courses and they could improve their counselor appointment system.
I like that the Solano County Community is so diverse with many different races, ethnicities, opportunities, religions, and beliefs. I also like that there is strict COVID-19 rules such as masks at all times when entering a building or popular area and that the capacity is strictly regulated in buildings so that there is enough room and space for everyone to be over six feet apart. At the moment of writing this review, I cannot think of any changes.
I appreciate all the information found online for Solano Community College. It was easy process to apply. I am able to reach out to the school financial aid office and upload any forms needed. I am thankful to have a school that cares for their students even during these hard times. I am able to do zoom calls with my counselor to ask questions and get help as needed. Since this is my first year at college it feels good to know that I have resources available to help me.
The teachers make the lessons very interesting. They drive you to do better with your work and focus on being on track.
I haven’t met a bad teacher yet. Everyone is very supportive, the bathrooms are clean, the library is quiet, and the cafeteria food is very good. There are many different clubs you can participate in and the students are very friendly. Their STEM program is not the greatest. I’ve tried out their robotics program and it was very unorganized. It was more like a study hall than an actual robotics program. Other than that, I haven’t had a bad experience yet!
I like how affordable Solano Community College is, however I’d like to see more classes for Computer Science majors, and variety of more class availability.
Solano Community College is amazing, all the professor I have had care so much for the student and their success. Solano also has a beautiful campus that updates it’s infrastructure and makes sure it’s very clean.
If you are into a school with a small student population and no community this is the place for you. Personally I did not like it there as it was very depressing with the little ability to make friends on campus because everyone is working a part-time job and being a part-time student so they have no time for social interactions. Otherwise I believe the education that I received there was quite good. In my opinion socializing and networking is a huge part of the college experience and you will not find that here.
I've had great experiences at this school. Staff are so helpful, and the school offers amazing things to students, like tutors, free food some days, sports, study rooms and more. I've had the opportunity to play sports at this school and complete everything I needed within a year and a half
good place, great teachers. I went to this school distrect since i was 5 years ols. although it was a poor distrect I had bettter opertunities than other student that went to other schools.
To me a lot of Solano County gives a community feel, specially when they are small towns all together, I've attended the community college in Fairfield, and a lot of the students have bright aspects and are very optimistic about their futures. Many of the schools give opportunities to the students to fast-foward with their GEDs and I find that very motivating for those who want to pursue a professional career wether its technical or more on the 4-year path.
Solano Community College is a great school to help get you ready for when you want to try to transfer to a four-year college. The counselors help plan out the courses you need to take for the two years and help keep you on track. All the professors that I have taken, really help make sure you understand the material and help make the class overall very interesting. I am very glad to of chosen going to a community college before a four-year college to overall help me prepare myself even more.
My studies was for General Science. Most of the teachers in that department are excellent. I was getting my pre-requisites out of the way for nursing. The teachers I had are very caring and want you to succeed. They care about the students and their well being.
The teacher's in the CDFS department are the best, and the classes are very educational and even fun at times. The teachers try to create an environment that you feel comfortable in, so that you can learn better.
During my time here at Solano, I've had a very great experience so far. Honestly, my only troubles were being able to email certain counselors. Trying to get class advices from certain counselors were difficult in the beginning. Some would not reply to my emails, but that didn't stop me from sending in more attempts. All in all, professors are great, same with the faculty. I haven't had any problems with any of them. Solano for me is a great school to attend.
SCC is an amazing college. I love all the resources they provide; from workshops/tutoring to the faculty and staff. Solano Community provided a well-guided path into the college life.
