I like going to Soda Springs High School (SSHS). We have great staff who want to help and see the students succeed. SSHS has been great in cross-country, track, golf, and basketball. I’ve been proud to be apart of a school that shows great school spirit and brings home trophies from state!
I would like to see our school get more class options. We don’t have very many opportunities of classes to take, so we tend to have to take the same or similar class again. I would also like to see our school be rebuilt because we have gas leaks from our boiler and the AC doesn’t work. Our ceilings and walls have mold, and everything is run down.

Soda Springs High School offers a variety of academic opportunities. There are several College Courses here to prepare for college. The student to teacher ratio is extremely low, as I have been in classes with less than ten students. There are several sports teams that win the state championship every year. The principal here at Soda takes input from the students and creates an environment where everyone's opinion is considered. Lunch is a release time, meaning that you can go home or eat at a restaurant for lunch. School days include Monday through Thursday only in an attempt to encourage students to have fun outside of school. The only thing needed at this high school is a better building and gym. My overall experience is excellent, and I am lucky to go to such a great school.
Its a small school so the relationships you build with teachers are individual. Throughout my four years of high school I've gotten to know each one of my teachers and they have also gotten to know me. They help in school and life. Several of my teachers have also been my coaches. I feel like this as led to more success in athletics for myself and teammates. There is not really anything I would change about my school; however some classes seem to have busy work and there isn't much benefit from it. Some teachers care a lot and others are there just to be there. All in all I have loved my time at soda springs high school and I am going to miss it.
