This year is my graduating year. I am sad that I am leaving such a great school. I have heard many things of this school (mostly bad) but I go to school there, I experience it, and I say it’s perfect. It truly depends on who you hang out with, and if you go to school to learn. Every student is different, which I love, it’s very hard to feel out of place when there is a school that is very diverse... such as SSS. All the teachers I have had these past 4 years have been AMAZING! They’ve all taught me not only school subjects but taught me about life, and how it can throw you around sometimes but you can and will always get back on your feet. I will greatly miss SSS ... This school will forever hold a special place in my heart, once a spartan, always a spartan!

My experience at Smithfield Selma High School has been unforgettable. I have been a part of so many great programs from AVID, IB, Band, CCP, National Honor Society and more! The people you meet in these programs become more than just friends, they become family. Here at SSS you will see diversity which is one thing I love about here. I have had some of the best experiences here especially when it comes to pep rallies or homecoming week! There is something about SSS that makes it unique and it's the students, faculty and staff who all work together here because they want nothing but the best for their students.
Personally I believe, even though Smithfield-Selma has a reputation for being a poverty stricken and poor school, it's honestly a pretty nice place. We have a nationally acclaimed award winning marching band where I've made some of the best friends I've ever had. The school is beaming with artistic ability, and I think it's one of the best schools in Johnston County. The majority of staff and teachers are friendly and I can tell really care about us. Go Spartans!
