The Sleepy Hollow High School Experience is like no other. One of the things that makes us very unique is the diversity in the school! Everyone is from various parts of the world, yet we all get along and have a good time. Another thing thats great about Sleepy Hollow High School as I've heard from current alums in college is how the teachers prepare you for college. Our school culture is one thing that makes us different from the rest. Being in Sleepy Hollow during October is sure a treat. We attract a lot of tourists and our spirit week is in October. That includes getting ready for the big homecoming football game on saturday, getting together as a grade and decorating the hallways and dressed up according to what theme it is that day. We are nationally recognized because of our mascot The Headless Horseman. Only thing I would change is the food, the food is average.

I have really enjoyed my experience thus far at SHHS. The teachers seem to genuinely care about the students' well being and want to see them succeed. The food is subpar but… what do you expect. It's school lunch. Sleepy Hollow is a very diverse neighborhood and this is clearly represented in the school. You will find people of different ethnicities, origins, political stances and household incomes. As with all schools, there are groups and some people believe high school is the most important part of life, but most people are chill, laid back, cool people. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
My experience at Sleepy Hollow has been everything I could've hoped for and I am so grateful to have attended such an incredible school. Our student body is very diverse, which has allowed me to learn from all different perspectives and establish connections to people from various cultural backgrounds. This has truly enriched my education. The academics are excellent, the teachers are kind and friendly, and the overall environment is very welcoming and enjoyable.
