Honestly Skyline is a great school, like every other public school, we have our ups and downs when it comes to cleanliness and the quality of certain teachers, but Skyline always makes sure to prioritize its students in the best way possible! Skyline will always try to do their best that they can to provide for their students and the students will always make sure that their voices are heard no matter what.

What I like about Skyline High School is the diversity and spirit that it has. Skyline's staff are very lovable and supportive. The bonds they have with their students is amazing. The community at Skyline itself is big and welcoming. The only downside of Skyline is their lack of keeping track with certain things like for example the coronavirus situation. Skyline's Administration are failing their students. What they're trying to do for their students during this pandemic, is not really as helpful due to the lack of access to internet/technology or even issues at home like lack of resources to get through this pandemic. I understand that as a educational district, putting in all your effort and having to keep moving forward even through a situation like the pandemic is needed to get through the academic year, but the coronavirus situation is really affecting everyone to the point where it's interrupting one's success.
Skyline High School is a school that is strengthened by its community. The diversity on campus is vast with a majority minority on campus and they are what make skyline skyline. Skyline is vastly underfunded for sports, education, and resources. Our teachers were forced to go on a 2 week strike in which they fought the district in fight for higher paying wages in which they deserve. During this time they received unbelievable support from their students who support them dearly. The community of Skyline came together and many students along with me went up to the Skyline in the Oakland hills at 8 AM and protested against the district for better resources and wages. Skyline High School isn't the greatest, we aren't loved by the district and funded extremely well. We lack many resources to properly give our students the best education possible but the teachers give it their all and are still able to support their students and give them a solid education. Skyline is strong and has pride.
