I moved back to Cache Valley right before my senior year, and I was dreading starting at a new school for my last year. But I couldn't be happier that I attend Sky View this year. The administration and teachers have been so welcoming. All of my teachers so far are very good at their jobs and clearly love what they do.
Most of the student body has been very welcoming as well. It would be nice if there was a program or club or something throughout the school year for new students, simply because not many people move into the area and make a flawless transition. Making friends in a new place is always hard, but when many students don't really know how to welcome new students, it can be hard.
The academics are great! I love the variety of classes offered at the school, especially the concurrent enrollment classes offered through USU. The curriculum isn't as rigorous as it was at my last school, but my classes here haven't assigned as much homework, which has been nice.
Review Sky View High School
Sky View High School is the best high school in my area. It is well known for it's incredible art and drama departments, and also for its amazing athletes! Sky View strives to provide plenty of opportunities for its students to explore and grow. The teachers are always willing to have one-on-one time with students to help them reach their full potential, and the rest of the staff works hard to make sure that there is a fantastic learning environment. Sky View High School is simply the best there is.
There are lots of different clubs and organizations at Sky View. We have organizations that are nationally well known like HOSA, FBLA, MESA, etc.. Then we have fun clubs that students make like the hiking club, smoothie club (they make smoothies monthly), the disney club, chinese club etc... We have some service clubs like Key Club, Youth Connect and Interact Club! People are much more dedicated to the service clubs and organizations (rather than the disney club) and are more popular. The administration is really good about letting the students have control over the clubs but there is an advisor for every club. They are almost always willing to approve and help out with different service projects and activities that the clubs want to do. Usually the club has to earn their own money for different things they want. LOTS of fundraisers happen. After school, there is almost always tutoring in the library for different subjects for kids who need extra help. And teachers are usually available for added help if needed as well. Overall, the clubs and student organizations are top notch. Somethings always going on and kids are always getting involved.
