Skidmore Tynan is a strong academic school with a great history of academic results. Skidmore is a town of under 1,000 people yet we are a AAA school competing with towns significantly bigger than us. This is because our administration continues to take in transfer students from surrounding towns. This would not be a problem if these students had good grades and participated in extracurillur activities but they don't. I understand what administration is trying to do but it is really affecting the students that have been at the school as competition level rises and resources and numbers of team members don't.
Besides, teachers are great relatable people that you can talk to and be comfortable around while still maintaining a studious environment.

Skidmore-Tynan is a great school to go to. There are not too many people and big drama is rare. The academic classes available to students are very helpful to people who want to expand their knowledge in those areas. The teachers are the most motivating people I know, and some I consider my role models. There are not too many clubs, but that is not a problem for me. The athletic coaches encourage you to succeed in all you want to do, whether it is in your chosen sport or academics. Skidmore-Tynan High School is a big family and there are friends for anyone who wants one, the people are great and supporting in all ways.
I have attended Skidmore- Tynan ever since I was in Pre-K, growing up here i have seen my school change over the years and have seen it grow into a great academic school. Playing sports my entire life i will say we have a great athletic program with so many student athletes who also play multiple sports just like myself. Skidmore is a great school and is graded as an A in our district for academics.
