Sizer School Reviews
Rating 3.89 out of 5 56 reviews
This school has so many students that do not care about academics, and yet they refuse to ever recognize the students that do well academically. No honor roll, no National Honor Society! Instead of trying to motivate and challenge students that do not perform well academically, they baby them and lower their expectations from those students. Horrible sports programs. The gym teacher is the coach of practically every sport. Lunch is horrible and overpriced for those that do not qualify for free lunch. There is no SAT prep at all, like zero prep! Students sign up for the SAT and go at it on their own. There is very high turnover among faculty and staff! They are starting to offer some AP classes, but those offerings are still not up to par with what other schools in the area offer. This school has a lot of work to do to improve and send these kids off to college and the work force as prepared as they should be!
It was certainly an experience too say the least, the teachers were interesting, but never really stood for what was right, they always let the weirdest things pass and deem it as okay, it other worse things acceptable, the work is relatively easy, but the school is sort of boring, especially after 2021, most of the interesting people left, and it got boring as a whole, no interesting football teams, no real parties, and no good homecomings, the teachers are unfunny, sensitive, and really sort of two faced my first year there was a blast, and then the teachers the next year started too become really rude, and tried their hardest too fit in.
Been working here for over four years and have seen firsthand how our educators engage students and prepare them for individual college and career goals. How? We're a small school - we get to know our students personally. We use hands-on, project-based work to make sure our students don't just "get it" but actually UNDERSTAND it - "now teach it to me..."
