My experience at Sissonville High School has been one that I would not mind bragging about. This is a welcoming school, and the faculty/students make that known! There truly is not much I would change about this school. The past four years of high school have been memorable, thanks to the amazing individuals that step foot into that door.

The school has very poor information given to students outside of the building. I am a freshman who works virtually and yet I still don't know anything on semester end dates, who my facilitator is, or even how I will take my PSAT's without a school-issued IPad.

I have been inside the building and have felt strangely confused on the order of where classes are for freshmen, considering I have seen freshmen classes on the second floor when the lockers are on ground level. For a girl who hates to feel totally lost, this is very inconvenient.

I have had a brief run-in with some of the teachers and the students. In these meetings, I have seen little to no classroom discussion and get the impression these students are left to learn the material themselves. I feel this is a huge issue considering the whole point of public education is for one on one communication between the student and the teacher.

Thank you for listening.
Sissonville High School is a safe and welcoming environment, with teachers who want to see their students succeed. They have an awesome counseling department and health clinic. The classes at Sissonville High School are the same average classes you would find at just about any other high school. Sports teams are highly respected here and school spirit seems to be a huge deal to the administration.
