I am proud to have my daughters attending school in Sisseton. The curriculum is challenging them, and they are all excelling. Sisseton offers a wide variety of choices for courses in high school...much wider than other area schools. And I especially admire the Middle School awards program...there is something for athletes and scholars! I am somewhat disappointed in the sports program...especially for girls. I think athlete turnout is reflective of a struggling program. However, my daughters are scholars first...athletes second. So I chose Sisseton for its academics.
I really liked the different programs available to students; however, there was hardly any involvement in these programs and the academics were sub par.
I love the school. Got nothing bad on it. I just hope the school changes some things around not a whole lot. Some kids need to change their attitudes as well as some of the teachers. The school needs to change their lunches back to how they used to be.
