Silverado is an overall average highschool. I feel like the students there were off the hook crazy though, Constant fighting with students and teachers (physical and verbal). I've literally sat around in classes looking at walls because MOST of my teachers didnt actually teach. Kids would smoke in the bathrooms between and during classes. It got to the point to where most of washrooms were locked and you'd have to go across the campus to use the restroom. I did have some really good teachers though, The best being any of my elective teachers. My main course teachers, weren't much help and just sat around most days.

Silverado High School did not have many opportunities for students; including myself while I was enrolled during 2014-2018. The classes and teachers for the most part are mediocre. Most of the learning I did was by myself watching YouTube videos or reading online information for tests. The advanced placement (AP) classes I was enrolled in did not prepare myself and the majority of the other students in the class for the tests which can be shown statistically. There was a couple amazing resources, such as my English teacher, and one consulor who gave me advice about college and advancing my education but besides the hand full of teachers/faculty I had, the majority of authoritative figures did not provide me with any help. It seems as if the faculty comes to work to put in the hours for the pay without guidance or enlightenment.
Being in Silverado High School, I have seen the goods and the bads that were commonly associated with the school. The community isn't the greatest, or most welcoming, so there is plenty of negative feelings towards the school, but I have personally chosen to avoid anything that could become a problem. Considering the environment that the school is located in, I can see where much of these perspectives are coming from. This school isn't necessarily the best nor is it the worst, it just stands there among the other high schools in its district which can also be said to be similar to Silverado.
