Signature School is an IB Charter school in Evansville, Indiana. Many alumni's always come back and comment on how Signature School has definitely prepared them for college. At Sig, we take college-level courses which are taught by amazing teachers who strive to prepare their students for the real world ahead of them. The environment is very diverse with students from different backgrounds, cultures, and religions. It is a small school, so everyone will feel like family over time. Overall, I would definitely recommend Signature school to any student who wants the best possible liberal arts education and the best high school experience with Sig's quirky traditions and events!

Signature School is an extremely rigorous high school, even ranked 3rd most challenging in the nation! Here all students are required to be IB applicants and we even begin taking AP classes freshman year. Although IB is super hard, you get much more freedom to the classes you want to take and there is required extra curriculars which force you to get a well balanced lifestyle. Just as a warning, if you are not prepared to dedicate your average school experience, all your sleep, your social life, and all your sanity... DO NOT GO TO SIGNATURE SCHOOL. If you think you will just float through or that it will be -okay- you WILL drown in the stress. If you are willing to give your 150% all, then go ahead, you will be extremely prepared. The closeness of the students is great! By the end of high school your originally 100 person class will probably be down to ~80 and y'all will be like family! There is no cafeteria so each day you bring your lunch or go out to eat in locations downtown.
Signature School is definitely the school for motivated learners. That is an expectation right off the bat that you are concerned for your academic career, so that the teachers simply assist you in getting further in where you want to be. With that said, the homework is heavy, but manageable when taken seriously. The workload teaches you the importance of time management--an invaluable skill to have in life. Your fellow students all also have the same desire to learn as you, which makes for a useful support system.

The teachers are accessible in hard times, and understand the school-life we are undergoing. They are ready to help before or after school, or during lunch, and assist with difficult concepts. They are there to also ensure our safety, and do a fine job supervising us daily in our travels outside the building in the downtown area.

I’m glad to have been part of the “Signature Way” unique high school experience.
