Signature School is an extremely rigorous high school, even ranked 3rd most challenging in the nation! Here all students are required to be IB applicants and we even begin taking AP classes freshman year. Although IB is super hard, you get much more freedom to the classes you want to take and there is required extra curriculars which force you to get a well balanced lifestyle. Just as a warning, if you are not prepared to dedicate your average school experience, all your sleep, your social life, and all your sanity... DO NOT GO TO SIGNATURE SCHOOL. If you think you will just float through or that it will be -okay- you WILL drown in the stress. If you are willing to give your 150% all, then go ahead, you will be extremely prepared. The closeness of the students is great! By the end of high school your originally 100 person class will probably be down to ~80 and y'all will be like family! There is no cafeteria so each day you bring your lunch or go out to eat in locations downtown.

Signature is for the student with good time management. You don't need to be smart to succeed, you just need to do the work. Signature has some of the smartest kids who lack all common sense, yet some of the dumbest students who know how to get work done effectively. There's lots of studying that you commit to, but this prepares students for college. If you talk to any Signature grad, they'll tell you Signature was harder than college. You'll also meet some to the nicest, most down-to-Earth people in your life. There's no athletics at Signature, there's no cafeteria, there are no kids who understand sports, there's no way you'll have a "normal" high school experience if you attend. Many students lack social skills and only know how to communicate with other Signature students. The faculty is nice, but are incredibly conceited. There's a sense of self-entitlement and you can tell everyone thinks they're better than other schools/students.
Signature School is not for everyone. Its academics are very rigorous and time consuming. Because of the high diversity, the student body leans overwhelmingly left politically, and could be isolating for someone who doesn't. However, this problem shrinks as one's class ages and students grow closer. If you are a liberal-minded and academically advanced individual in search of a tight-knit community of others like you, Signature is a good fit.
