My experience started at Siegel High School when I was a freshman I recently moved from Michigan. I loved everything about it, the teachers have always been amazing from my first class in freshman year to now my last class in Junior year. The only thing that I have to complain about is the strictness of the dress code. I shouldn’t have to be punished by showing my thighs or my stomach, no one should be punished by feeling confident in their own skin. The administrators all say “ you’re distracting the boys”. In reality they are the ones that should be punished by not being about to keep their wandering minds from their imagination. Other than that I love Siegel High School!
Amazing school in academics as far as the current “teach to the test” education system goes! Teachers are some of the best, nice, and understanding I’ve ever had! The administration is great for the most part except for the guidance counselors who are awful at making themselves available to the students, I understand they are busy, but they’re #1 priority should be to the students. There are at least 4 counselors at least one should be available to the students at all times and not be in “meetings”. Overall Siegel is an amazing school in sports, academics, and overall student body! In my four years I’ve never witnessed any bullying which I have always felt incredibly lucky about! Every school has its issues but I’m glad I had the opportunity to attend Siegel!
I've had the blessing of having many wonderful teachers throughout my high school years, but I've also had a couple of bad ones. Funnily enough, they were for Math, which I had accelerated into! Maybe I just wasn't ready? The students are, for the most part, extremely nice, and probably far more accepting than any other students in other schools--so says one of the History teachers. Even with the stress that I've experienced with my grades, I was able to maintain a score higher than 3.75, a feat I'm proud to acknowledge, what with my Honors and Advanced Honors and even AP. Overall, despite the bad apples that plague any and all schools, it's a great school to attend.
