Shroder has it's up and downs like any normal school but I've been there since 7th grade and its actually been a fun experience. I've learned a ton from the students and faculty there .
It needs to improve when it comes to the spirit , food.I think my of the teachers , love their job , then seem to hate them .The cleanliness, and many other things need to get better.
I started my journey at Shroder the year of 2013 coming in as a 7th grader. I met some amazing students and some great teachers that I know ill remember forever. Some things that need to change about the school is they need to start preparing students better for the real world or for college.
the school is highly unorganized. The teaching ways arent preparing us for life. i feel like this school should be more tailored to the students.
My experience at Shroder High School has been bittersweet. The school has it’s flawless but we as a school find ways to outcome obstacles as a team.
Shroder High School was a very challenging school, who supports the students to become prepared for college. Shroder is a welcoming school to all students and we are bonded together like a community. Shroder could work on things like becoming more organized.
My experience with Shroder has been rough, I mean the school is good, but sometimes the staff members don't really do much help students. What I would like to see is better trained staff and teachers.
Shroder is a school that puts it all on one subject and sometimes forgetting others. Shroder tries to prepare students, but does not always meet the standards. They do not address failure in the right way, but they do try. I would like to see a more help staff and administration that actually wants to help parents and students reach and obtain what they need without attitude.
It was a pretty good experience for junior high and high school. education experience, and received good education that got me into college classes to advance my learning process.
The staff at shroder make you feel like a paycheck is the only interest not the children. I think better leadership with compassion as well as commitment to want to see the children succeed would be a great change.
When I attened Shroder it was a long journey. I grew up there from 7th-12th grade and I honestly enjoyed the experience. It was great to grow up with all the same students each year.
shredder high is a good although the fights and some of the students aren't here to learn but overall the he teachers are here to help and want us to succeed i like shroder
Since I've been at shroder I have seen and been through a lot. Starting in 7th grade I didn't think I would make it to 12th grade the way I was going. Every year it was something different but the only thing that kept me motivated was the teachers and pressure they would put on us. I remember in my 10th grade year in my English 10 class. Ms.Muhammad would tell us that no matter what we do we have to never give up and keep moving forward. She would say that she was here to get us ready for college and show us the way we should be focused and work in class like we were in college. After that i continued to do the best I could in any class . I might not have gotten all a' s and b's but I put the time and effort into getting where I wanted to be. Shroder prepares you for what you need to know and the outside world. Its like you have multiple parents and siblings all in one building and they are getting you ready to be on your own.
Coming from the number one rated school in the city and going to a smaller school helped me a lot. I got more one-on-one help and I felt that the teachers cared more. For me it showed me that I was able to do the work I just need some encouragement and now I feel that i am prepared and ready to be on my own in college. Yes shroder has its downs but academically wise I believe that it is excellent and almost as good as Walnut Hills. If I could do all over again I probably would do it all over again because i don't believe I would have been able to experience the opportunities that they have gave me any place else.
The teachers at shroder are good the only bad thing is that most of them don't turn in grades when they are suppose to but are gladly able to put in a 0 by the next day. The teachers are fun and they listen to what you have to say. The teaching styles are pretty good unless they are just talking the whole time and sometimes they talk and then give you a quiz and then move on to something totally different the next day and sometimes it gets confusing. Overall I think Shroder teachers are great...it's the principal they need to work on.
It's good, but sometimes I wish they would slow down an make sure we get it before we move on. Instead of just shoving the information down our throats, so that we know of it for our test.
The school can only afford the nurse on two of the five days that students attend school.
