Shoreline Christian is a fabulous school! My son started at SCS in kindergarten. I wasn't totally sure about private school when we started, but now that he is there, I can't imagine him anywhere else. He is on the autism spectrum, and the teachers and staff have been so caring and encouraging of him. They take the time to do what is needed to provide support in the areas that are challenging for him, but they always see him from the viewpoint of recognizing and nurturing his strengths. The smaller class sizes make it possible for teachers to really individualize their teaching to meet each kid where they are, whether needing extra support or extra challenge. The parent community is hard-working, kind, and honestly accepting--I feel like we care about one another's kids and their well-being as we care about our own. It's a wonderful community for students and their families!

Our experience here has been great. We love this school for a lot of reasons, but I'll just name a few: Celebration of each child's strengths. Not everyone is going to be naturally strong at everything, but that doesn't mean they should ever feel weak. Each teacher we've encountered loves these kids and wants to see them thrive. There is safety here: safe to express different ideas and ask questions. I love that it is a parent-run school, the head of school answers to the parent school board, not to a corporation or distant organization. Our kids are thriving here. They love going to school every day and are excited about class projects. I could go on but the website isn't allowing me to write more.
Enrolling at Shoreline Christian was a life changing experience. Though small in size, teachers, students, and alumni alike pour into to you to make sure you have the best high school experience possible. Students are friendly, teachers are invested, and I find that the environment at SCS prepares you to make a difference in the world after you graduate.
