Shiner Catholic School is a small town catholic school located in Shiner, Texas. At this school, I graduated with a class of 24 students. The staff at this high school are very excepting and easy to talk to. I went to Shiner Catholic School since pre-k and ended up graduating from there in the spring of 2019. I still attending some of my high schools sports games and alumni games to see old friends and teachers. Shiner Catholic School taught me many valuable academic points along with having a connection with God. I will forever be grateful for my experience at Shiner Catholic school!
This school has a severe problem with bullying and favouritism. Easily half of the people I know who went here had been bullied including myself, and most of us tried reporting it in some way only to be met with answers like "You're grown, handle it yourself" or "I know (x person) and they wouldn't do that." Not everyone finds it safe to handle it themselves and need intervention, especially at school. Calling this a Catholic school is a joke.
Aside from that, teachers vary across the board, some being excellent and commendable and some obviously not wanting to be there. The athletic program is very good and probably what the school is most known for. There's not much diversity but that's to be expected from a private school in a small town.
Overall, it used to be better but has definitely gone downhill and needs fixing.

From a personal experience, this school is not the best due to the fact of not being of that faith and not living in the same town. In that sense, your child will possibly not be treated with the same type of gratitude that they would if they lived there. The schooling isn’t the best, and the diversity can also have an effect on the test scores. The athletics doesn’t have the most kind hearted faculty there. I’m this school, if you don’t have the same mind set then you are an outcast.
