Sherwood High School feels safe and has a good culture around unity. I've noticed very little bullying over my time there. The surrounding community is passionate around the school and it's success. As of 2018, it has the highest graduation rate in Oregon.
The facilities are lacking, the school is overcrowded and due to lack of janitorial staffing and student disregard for the building's cleanliness, it is often dirty.
There is a general consensus among students that the math department is lacking in quality, and the diminishing rate of student achievement provides evidence for this statement.
The school does not do a very good job preparing students for college and careers. Financial aid, scholarships, the application process, trade education, and other important aspects of entering adulthood are not covered and provided to students.

Sherwood High School is located in Sherwood, Oregon. This high school does in fact offer a great variety of classes to take! There are lots of electives and computer classes and there is something for everyone! I also liked how the schedule was broken down into trimesters therefore you can take more classes and test different things to see what you like. They also offer a great deal of dual credit classes and ap (advanced placement) courses! The councilors and most of the teaching staff is very helpful as well. Every teacher I had wanted to see me exceed and helped me do that. The only down side is how crowded the school is. Also some of the teachers in the math department do not know what they are doing or they just do not want to help you.
Sherwood high school is a very competitive high school. Most people who go to sherwood high school are very driven in their education. This makes sherwood high school a good place to push yourself in your education because you are surrounded by hundreds of other students who are also doing the same. Sherwood high school also offers a lot of challenging classes to help you do so. Most of these harder classes are taught by good teachers who are also there to help and push you in your education. Not only does sherwood have good education but they also offer competitive sports taught by good coaches. This gives students the opportunity to learn how to work better with others well also staying fit. Although sherwood high school is very sports driven and most people participate in at least one sport, they still always put school first and make sure their students stay on top of their school work before they do their sports. Sherwood high school is a good school with good, focused people.
