My time at sherwood high school has been enjoyable. I am lucky enough to say that my high school gives opportunities to almost anybody's interests. There are clubs for just about everything, teachers (about 1/3 of them) are willing and helpful and theres always a safe space. Our counselors are helpful when we ask but to get ready for college was something unfamiliar to me and something I had to figure out on my own. I recommend counselors be more involved in classes to come as they approach senior year!

Sherwood High School is a great school that will get your through to College ready to learn. The Academics and Teachers are very precise when it comes to the students grabbing the material. The school is well know for its Arts and Club programs and trust me, they are well deserved. Sporting events are just as fantastic as you'll everyone coming out to support our team for every event!
My overall experience was good but not great. While I was provided many opportunities to excel in my class, sports, and extracurriculars, the school also lacked important factors. For example, diversity. While there are many ESOL program students, there is a fine line that distinguishes the America born and those who are not. Also, spirit at the school was very low and almost everybody did not want to attend school. Although I connected with some teachers, others seemed disinterested in my future and only in their present. I also wish that there were more programs for social interaction like a Sadie Hawkin's dance or study abroad programs like in the past. Don't get me wrong though. Sherwood could be very fun at times. For example, Powderpuff football that is available to juniors and seniors. Even though I played several sports at Sherwood, I had never had that many people watching me from the stands before. It was amazing.
