Overall, my experience at Shepton High School was great. Although the academics were not as superb compared to other high schools in PISD, they were decent and better compared to the majority of the country. Almost all teachers were very understanding and a many of them were very skilled at educating. The diversity was incredible- it was one of the things I enjoyed most at Shepton. With over 1,500 students, at times, it would be very crowded and unsafe during fights or drills. There were multiple gun threats throughout my two years, but such threats are unsurprising in this age. Shepton offered a very large and diverse range of clubs, the admin team was wonderful, and the school culture was, for the most part, very uplifting. As I said, Shepton is huge and very diverse so at times, I felt disconnected and I know of others who felt the same way. Other than the safety problems and feeling of disconnection, Shpeton was a wonderful school to attend for 9th and 10th grade.

Shepton is a really good school overall. The administration is amazing. The school just got newly renovated, so it looks really good. The only thing that wasn't ideal were some of the teachers. Majority of the teachers are really good, but there were also a handful that weren't the best. The administrators could have done more to accommodate to the needs of the students quicker, but eventually the problem would get solved.
Shepton High School is a nice high school to attend. The school is in a nice area in Plano. My experience at Shepton was okay. I just recommend to get involved in clubs, sports, or something else you might be interested in. While I was attending Shepton, there was renovation occurring at the time in my freshman year so half of the classes were outside in portables. The next year the portables were gone and the school was completely remodeled. I’m glad I got to experience the portables because it prepared me for when I got to other campuses that have multiple buildings. Although these were not the best two years of my life, it definitely was a period in my life that helped me to grow and figure out who I am a little bit more. Overall, Shepton is a great high school that will help you explore yourself and your interests more.
