For me, it's been great. But I'm quite independent so I haven't had much experience with the school. My freshmen year, I was in honors English and I absolutely loved it. We took a trip to Oregon for a Shakespeare play and that was so memorable and my favorite time! I could never replace my facilitator or the principal at my school. Both are so very dedicated to helping the students. I wouldn't be where I'm at in my education without my facilitator, so I wouldn't choose a different school if I had the choice.

Being home schooled, I've only chosen to take a couple classes throughout my 4 years of being here. The teachers are GREAT people. So kind and willing to help. But, I do feel that they are better one on one than teaching a class. In my opinion, from the little I've seen, I understood whatever was being taught when I went to tutoring with that teacher one on on, vs. sitting in their class. On a second note, my facilitator is AMAZING! She goes above and beyond to help me. And she always has. She is always encouraging and pushes me to do better.
Overall, I really enjoyed my time here at Shasta Charter, but I wish there were more opportunities for student involvement and activities. It's an unusual set-up for a school, I know, but I would have liked more opportunities to make me feel more comfortable or "at home" when I was on campus.
