Sharon High School Reviews
Rating 3.78 out of 5 163 reviews
Sharon High School started off in an asbestos infested building with 1.5 floors. At the time, we didn't realize how glum, crowded, and harmful the environment was for the students and our learning experience. After moving to the new building, there was a drastic shift in the school's overall feel. The building itself if beautiful, large, colorful, and open. The teachers who moved with the new building continued to be great and teach well, and the new teachers who joined in the last few years fit in well with the community. The best part of my time there was AP bio class in senior year. Mr. Snow was a great teacher and my classmates were pretty cool too. It helped that I enjoyed the subject before taking the class! Worst part of the school is probably the dichotomy between "AP students" and "Standard students". Additionally, the school committee is a bit hectic, seeing as we went through 3/4 principles in the 4 years I was a student there. Regardless, SHS prepared me well for college!
Sharon High School in Sharon, MA is an exceptional institution that embodies academic excellence and a supportive learning environment. With highly dedicated teachers and staff, students are encouraged to reach their full potential. The school offers a wide range of rigorous courses, fostering intellectual growth. Additionally, the extracurricular activities, such as sports teams and clubs, provide ample opportunities for students to explore their passions. The school's facilities are well-maintained and equipped with modern resources, enhancing the overall learning experience. Sharon High School truly prepares students for future success, making it an outstanding choice for education.
My experience at Sharon High was one of a typical high school student. Of course, some classes were more challenging than others, I had my share of confrontations with the "mean girls", and found communities that made me feel loved. The best part of Sharon High School is that it has much more diversity than surrounding towns. While my friends from dance see the same faces daily, I learn so much about other backgrounds, cultures, and the holidays they celebrate. I see perspectives that I never would have come up with based on my experiences in everyday life. The worst part of my experience would be the faculty not caring enough at times as it is difficult to receive help from my counselor. I want the school also to stop switching lead faculty members, as it messes with the dynamic of the school year after year. Many teachers have also quit because of how they are treated at Sharon High.
