My experience at Serra High School is going really fascinating to me, i’m a senior to this high school. Serra can be stressful because of many classes but its normal you can get used to it. This will lead to push yourself to be a better and a independent person. In my experience Serra has made so many dances that makes you have so many fun memories not only educational school but to have fun and be to recommend more students to transfer to this school. Serra should change the fact that teachers should have more spirit to students so they will be able have more motivation for them to come and learn to school. I believe that this is a good school to have your education and have some great memories!

The things I liked about Serra High School involved some of the classes I had. The thing I would change about Serra involves their dual enrollment Community College system with Miramar. For my senior year in this high school, I was put into a calculus class with a very inadequate professor, and I could not switch out because we were past the deadline to leave the class without repercussions. Other than that, most of the other teachers I had I could not say I had a problem with. Another aspect that needs work is the counselor system. The counselors are rarely available and can be hostile towards student when they ask questions which is really strange considering it is their job to assist us. The community college system and the counselors are the only real parts I found issue with.
I went to serra for all four years of my high school career. I was apart of the jv softball team where i did not feel excepted but that was because i never had the money to play for leagues and a lot of the couches pick favorites. But, i was also apart of many clubs where i felt extremely included, i was president of three of them. A lot of them were hands on and the staff were happy to be there and i cant tell you how many field trips i had gone on. Lots of the staff are very nice and make it easy for kids who are shy and not apart of groups to have purpose. The theater program is great and both theater kids and tech hang out together and there are no excluding. Choir and band are hard to get into unless you are driven and have experience. The photography and tech program are really cliquey but once you're in you're always in and make long time friends.
