My experience at Serra High School is going really fascinating to me, i’m a senior to this high school. Serra can be stressful because of many classes but its normal you can get used to it. This will lead to push yourself to be a better and a independent person. In my experience Serra has made so many dances that makes you have so many fun memories not only educational school but to have fun and be to recommend more students to transfer to this school. Serra should change the fact that teachers should have more spirit to students so they will be able have more motivation for them to come and learn to school. I believe that this is a good school to have your education and have some great memories!

Serra High has a lot of passionate teachers who will put in extra time to help their students. As a senior, it is especially helpful. However, there are a couple places Serra can improve. First, there can be more plant-based meals on the menu. The only vegan option is the chili on selective days of the week. This can be really hard for students who want healthier options. Serra can incorporate more plant-based options with enticing names, like apple pie oatmeal, Buddha bowls, and the impossible burger. Another way Serra can improve is to strengthen community. With high fences surrounding the whole school, all paths closed off except the longest way to get to college class, and little emphasis on the importance of a counselor’s office visit, there is a basic distrust of the administration from the students. Despite these, there are clubs, sports, and college readiness. I hope to see Serra slowly improve for my sister’s senior year next year.
Serra High School becomes a home when you are involved in sports, clubs, or the music program. A huge amount of teachers in this school are very welcoming and have amazing relationships with their students. In my perspective, these past three years have been quite a journey. I have taken advance classes since freshmen year and it is a challenge when you feel like you can’t do it. I have had a couple of mental breakdowns, but it was worth it in the end. Every year I feel like I have learned something new not from my classes, but about myself and others. It is okay to fail, even when you gave it your all. At Serra, not everyone is a friend to one another, however I know that you can get through any obstacle when you have the right friends to help you along the way. Serra High School is not one of the richest and finest schools in the district. Then again, the accomplishments I have made at this school has given me hope to finish my last two years strong with effort and commitment.
