Serra Catholic High School Reviews

Serra provided me with a quality education as well as many life skills. Being in the advanced classes helped me get ahead in my academics more than the average classes. For example, I graduated with enough credits that I will graduate a semester early. Although I do feel as though I am well prepared academically for college, the change from high school to college for me was very abrupt. I graduated with 90 people. Going from that to classes with 450 students in it was a huge culture shock. Having only 400 people in the school caused a lot of unnecessary drama. There was bullying, cliques and mean girls that teachers could not do anything about. This was mainly due to the stereotype that "Catholic school girls are the worst". However, growing up surrounded by immature, rude people taught me how to be a better person. Although my years at Serra Catholic ( in regards to my social experiences) was the equivalent to hell; however, I would still choose to attend this school over again.

What I like about Serra Catholic are the teachers. They will work with you endlessly. The school is administered to prepare us for college, for example the teacher will work with us endlessly but at the same time will not hold our hand to make sure work is completed. This has prepared me greatly for college in terms of studying and self discipline. The one thing I would change would be adding additional electives from which to be chosen.
Overall, my experience at Serra Catholic High School was a positive one. This school was able to provide me with resources my public school could not, such as college in high school credits, access to new technology, and courses that would prepare me for my future. Most of the teachers are very good at what they do and very passionate about the subjects they teach. Serra does an amazing job at preparing students for college with their rigorous academic courses.
