Sentinel High School Reviews
Rating 3.65 out of 5 237 reviews
Amazing. I cannot say enough positive things about the faculty and staff, the facilities and my fellow students. The curriculum was flexible, allowing high achieving students to excel and helping those that needed more academic support at the same time. There were ample opportunities for extracurricular involvement as well - sports, music, theatre, languages, volunteering, business and so much more!
Sentinel High School is not markedly different from any other Montana high school (or, likely, American high school) that one sets foot in. Sentinel, like many of its counterparts, has it's fair share of inequitable treatment of its staff, crumbling infrastructure, and locker room sexual assault allegations. The hallways maintains a faint smell of elk urine- a remnant from an overdone senior prank. The basement sports a nuclear fallout shelter, now filled with costumes from the theater department.
Though the majority of those who fill the hallways of Sentinel on any given day exhibit the same cynical attitude as can be found in the composition of this review, there is an undeniable liberal charm that Sentinel exemplifies. Whether it be the overgrown ivy wall near the school's entrance, or the gender neutral bathroom in the art hallway, Sentinel clearly tries hard to be a shining example of the new era of the American high school.

The athletics at this school are great. Each program is in charge of its own fundraising and I think that promotes student responsibility. I like the staff: teachers, paras, and janitors. They're always helpful and supportive. I think having a more stable administration would help out the kids learning and growing up. Changing administration creates problems like different rules or policy every year. Making relationships with the kids is a great way to promote a safe and healthy school environment, and I think that is a growth area for Sentinel.
