Seneca Valley is an extremely small school that provides a variety of benefits. Smaller size classes allow students to personally engage with their teachers and receive the academic attention necessary. Aside from academics, Seneca is extremely community based as the majority of the students act as one huge family through school events such as school dances, sports games, pep rallies, etc. This school is located in the second most diverse city in the nation so no one ever feels like an outcast or discriminated against when walking through the hallways.

Seneca Valley High is exceptionally great when it comes to offering pathways for students to follow for various fields that can later on benefit students very much. If you go on through and decide to follow a pathway, then during senior year you can internship, which gives you much experience of the job. For example the Health professionions Pathway allows you to he either a medical assistant or pharmacy tech in the end to internship as based on what you're interested in. Along with the IB diploma and AP college classes that can be taken to challenge yourself and AP classes can be taken to advantage by earning a college credit. You can take an AP class, whereas in college it would in reality take hundreds of dollars for the class. During 11th and 12th grade you can take full IB to achieve a IB diploma which will come to advantage when applying to colleges which show colleges that you have challenged yourself. There is much diversity in this school.
Attending Seneca Valley High School for 4 years has been a wonderful experience. The athletics, academics, teachers, staff, and students form a strong community that I never had in my previous schools. The thing about Seneca Valley that stands out the most is the 2-year International Baccalaureate program that is offered, which is extremely challenging and will greatly help you in college. Another interesting fact is that Seneca Valley is currently in construction of a new school, which will be the biggest high school in Maryland! I am truly going to miss this school and hope future students have the same experience as I did.
