I went to this high school for all four years and graduated in 2017. I had an overall excellent experience here with most teachers willing to help students with any questions regarding their academics. What I really thought was special when attending this school was our sports and extracurricular activities. Unfortunately, I did not partake in most of these activities because it was not of particular interest to me at the time. However, I sometimes regret making this decision so it is important for Segerstrom faculty to really encourage their students to join as many clubs/sports as they can! You’re only in high school once so make it memorable! I also really liked how, at the time, every student was offered the SAT and ACT tests for free. This was something many high school did not offer at the time and I hope this is something that is still in place.

The learning environment of the school is phenomenal! All of the teachers have the same goal of encouraging students toward success. Along with the teaching staff, the school administrators are always available and going above and beyond to support students in academics, athletics, and so much more. Ms. Huezo, coordinator of the Higher Education Center, is one example of the incredible support system at Segerstrom High School. Ms. Huezo tracks grades, test scores, and college applications of all students, as well as coordinates workshops, field trips, and college presentations to encourage students to strive for the best they possibly can!
I attended Segerstrom High School five years ago. From my experience I can tell you that this school was fair. We excelled in sports and activities. Our ASB was AMAZING from the way they participated and lead school activities in lunch, assemblies, and games. The staff felt like not only our future guidelines but our piers when we needed their advice and help with off campus issues. Classrooms were a place of learning and enjoyment because we got to spend it with our friends. Lunches would switch after the second quarter was finished so the students would get a different view and schedule. Overall I would personally say that Segerstrom High School did an excellent job at fulfilling my educational goals because here I am right now transferring to a California State University in hopes on completing my bachelors degree and one day my masters.
