This was not my favorite school throughout my k-12 career, but attending this school was an alright experience. My favorite experiences include the Student of the Month, Honor Roll, and April assemblies. The April assemblies consisted of prepping the students to take the California Standardized Tests. Despite the strictness and bland school days, I would choose this school again to experience the nice events and meet the new people I met.
I believe there was after school tutoring which shows that the administration supports and acknowledges the students who struggle. As far as clubs, the most notable was the Anime Club even though I was not a part of it. I knew a handful of students who were involved. For eight graders, we had a school dance and free time at the end of the day on a particular day near the end of the school year, filled with snacks and activities.
Bullying was a bit of an issue to some students, common among middle school kids. It was more of an outcast situation, in which one student had habits different than his/her peers such as reading throughout the class period. There was also a lot of drama between students at times, which led to fights or almost led to them. I personally felt safe, since I had no worries as far as threats or bullies.
