Parent: The original principal was very engaged with students and parents. She was easy to talk to and make sure students looked presentable during school hours as well. She brought belts from home for pants of some of the boys.

Alum: Definitely the best school in the area for academics, resources and diversity, all of which are thanks to the boarding students. Kids from the area are blessed to able to attend a school that gets benefits from having paying students. There are many excellent teachers, but also quite a few who are inexperienced, you just have to know which teachers to shoot for. My least favorite thing was that there is annoying push for teachers to use technology whether or not it is needed. Also small town issues can be unpleasant at times, but are unavoidable.

Lenape Valley Regional High School

- Stanhope, NJ
Senior: I live in the town of Hopatcong, so I had to apply to the choice program at Lenape in order to attend. I couldn't be more happy that I did! Even though I was coming from a different town than the other kids, I was able to make so many friends with absolutely no problem. There are countless clubs and sports to get involved in which provide you with awesome, fun experiences where you get to try new things and make new friends. The sports coaches are great and I couldn't have had a better experience. Academically, Lenape offers numerous AP classes and CP classes, which are still challenging. There are plenty of electives to choose from. My favorite part of Lenape, though, is our school spirit. We were voted best fans in all of Sussex and Morris counties, and our football games are an absolute blast. The school spirit creates an incredible sense of community throughout our school, one that only a Lenape Valley Patriot can experience.
