Mt. Ararat High School
34 Best Public High Schools in Maine
- Regional School Unit No. 75 (MSAD 75), ME
Senior: Mt. Ararat thrives on its quirkiness. The odd construction of the building, the enthusiastic and slightly odd faculty, and the blend of students from four different towns all provide MTA with a unique perspective on education and cooperation. While the school doesn't have the best funding, nor the best resources to provide its students, it does a consistently-outstanding job in preparing their students for the future and letting student creativity flourish in both visual and performing arts.

- Dover Foxcroft, ME
Alum: Definitely the best school in the area for academics, resources and diversity, all of which are thanks to the boarding students. Kids from the area are blessed to able to attend a school that gets benefits from having paying students. There are many excellent teachers, but also quite a few who are inexperienced, you just have to know which teachers to shoot for. My least favorite thing was that there is annoying push for teachers to use technology whether or not it is needed. Also small town issues can be unpleasant at times, but are unavoidable.
