White Oak High School
308 Best Public High Schools in Texas
- White Oak Independent School District, TX
High School Senior: Teachers know just the right difficulty for their subjects, with advanced classes usually being grueling in their work schedules. Class diversity is awful, the only interesting electives are maybe art or shop classes. I'd kill for some technology classes worth something, they are usually blow off courses. The online program, SuperNet, is often confusing and the students taking a class on there usually come out without learning a thing. The best class is by far English or Journalism, the teachers are awesome and the classes teach a lot in fun ways.

The Village School
- Private School
- Houston, TX
- PK, K-12
Sophomore: The Village School is an amazing school with incredible staff and resources for any who choose to enroll! Most kids are from or have parents from an out-of-US country; it is definitely an open, diverse, and accepting school. Constantly new children enroll, so it's never a dull moment. The curriculum is ever-changing but is always beneficial to the students. The preparedness for out of school events and other activities should be slightly more organized than it is, but overall, this is an incredible school.

Pine Tree High School

Alum: My experience at Pine Tree High School was definitely a place to remember. I look back on our schools security and thank them for having it the way it was. It is important to me because now all we see on the news is student shootings at school. I believe the two way entrance with tall fencing, certain employees being the person who decides who can enter and leave the building. This was a great school that understood the importance of student safety.

Gladewater High School
- Gladewater Independent School District, TX
Senior: Gladewater Highschool, like every high school was an eye opener going from middle school to high school. I went from struggling to make it to classes on time and to the right classes to easing my way to being able to talk to friends heading to class. Gladewater has helped me with getting ready for the real world from the start, they have a great staff who do there absolute hardest to keep the school going and functioning properly each day. The teachers are all a great help when we need it, they go through each lesson carefully to break it down to where we understand the concepts to keep us going forward in our studies. What I liked about the high school most was the athletics department, the teams there at gladewater are all fairly well. The coaches guide us throughout giving us tips on how to improve ourselves, not just for the sport but how to improve ourselves with our relationships with family and friends and how to keep a consistent and positive mindset in our everyday lives.
