Republic High School
103 Best Public High Schools in Missouri
- Republic R-III School District, MO
Senior: Republic High School is the second high school I have attended, but I definitely enjoyed it more than my previous high school. When I transferred, I was unsure about it, but my peers quickly accepted me and I came to enjoy it. Our choir program is very diverse, and while it's not very competitive, it gives everyone an opportunity to grow. The teachers are friendly and give students plenty of chances to get one on one time for help if needed. The administrators are also very caring, which has especially been seen since the death of a classmate this month.

Parent: Rossman strikes a great balance between providing kids with a challenging academic program while at the same time creating an environment where kids are excited to go to school and learn. The teachers want to see your children succeed but just as importantly they want to establish a desire for learning that stays with them into high school and college. This starts in the JK classroom where kids learn about Van Gogh & Matisse by creating their own versions of famous masterpieces while at the same time getting an opportunity to establish friendships that last long beyond Rossman. On top of the impressive academics, the focus on building character is evident throughout the school day and kids in all grades subscribe to Rossman's core character values. When considering schools for our family we wanted a school where our children felt supported, happy and challenged every day and where as parents we felt part of a community. We feel very lucky to have found all of that at Rossman School!

Ash Grove High School
- Ash Grove R-IV School District, MO
Senior: As a senior at Ash Grove, I have been through many changes and advancements. I have attended this district since Kindergarten! Throughout the last few years, I have seen many opportunities that they school has started to offer to get us prepared for college. I love that! I know that I am going to be more prepared for college because of the teachers who have pushed for a classroom that mocks colleges more. I love how small the school is, so you know everyone and everyone knows you. The teachers, for the most part, care personally about your education and your overall well being. Also, Ash Grove's sports program is pretty good! I have watched many teams throughout the years have successful seasons and programs being built up. I am blessed that I grew up in this small town with this tight-knit school district.
