Alum: Wild Rose High School is a very small school, which has it's benefits and disadvantages. I could easily talk with any of my teachers and can say I had close relationships with nearly all of them. The same goes for my fellow classmates. We were all very close and it created a sense of community. Being a small school though, we did not receive the same educational treatment of other larger schools. Wild Rose did not have finals or midterms, which I feel has not helped me in the long run with my college experience. In addition to this, being a small school, the lack of funds was very apparent. School lunches were poor and some equipment needed to be updated. All in all, I am very blessed to have grown up in the community I did and thankful for the education I received.

Senior: Wayland is a great experience for all students! The student body is less than 200 students and about half of the students are international. Overall, there are students from 32 different countries, which makes this school very diverse compared to all the public schools and many other boarding schools in the nation.
The Academy becomes strict when it comes to academics; They treat the school as if it were a college. The average class size is 14 students per class. With the class size being very small, there is more 1 on 1 times with the teacher during or outside of class.
Although athletics might not be the best, it is good for students to be able to get lots of playing time on the field or court, even though they are not a star player. There are also many clubs and other activities outside of athletics.
Overall, I think Wayland is a great school and I definitely recommend it!
