High School Senior: I changed schools before I began High School, and it was one of the best decisions my family had ever made. The curriculum that was given to me was harder than I was used to, but the teachers made learning at a higher standard very possible. In High School, I was involved in both sports and fine arts while working at a hometown bank, and my academics were very important to me. It was very easy to balance my busy schedule because of the amazing support of the activity leaders. Everything that I have learned and done in High School has prepared me for College, Graduate School, and the rest of my life. I would choose to go back to High School if I could because the experiences and memories were so great, I could do it all again!

Parent: Our son is currently in the 2nd grade. He has been at the school for two years, and it has been a wonderful experience. The enthusiasm of the teachers, who are truly experts in the subjects they teach, is infectious. They consistently set high standards for all students at every stage of their academic career. This is a school that prioritizes academics and the students themselves; it is targeted to students with intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic. We are very happy here!

Perry High School
- Perry Community School District, IA
Alum: I loved the diversity of Perry High School. The student body is very proud of the diversity. We were a very tight knit group. If other schools messed with us, we would all band together and defend our school. Of course, every school will have issues with bullying, but often you would see a student standing up for another being picked on. School spirit was our foundation.
I would like to see the attitude of some of the teachers change. Some teachers were extremely dedicated to the education of their students, but others openly stated that they were just teaching to be a sports coach. It was disappointing to hear that. But majority of the faculty at Perry High cared deeply for their students.
