Senior: I loved the small size of our school. You know all the students and all the faculty. It's like a large family. You have your good days and your bad days, but you know there is always someone who has your back. If you're struggling with your classes the teachers are always there willing to help. I'm an athlete so getting on a sports team is fairly easy. It doesn't necessarily mean you will get to play, but you are a part of a team and that's pretty cool. If I could change one thing it would have to be how well the school prepares us for college. I wish they would start a program that helps us students fill out scholarship apps.

Parent: Our son is currently in the 2nd grade. He has been at the school for two years, and it has been a wonderful experience. The enthusiasm of the teachers, who are truly experts in the subjects they teach, is infectious. They consistently set high standards for all students at every stage of their academic career. This is a school that prioritizes academics and the students themselves; it is targeted to students with intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic. We are very happy here!

Aplington Parkersburg High School
- Aplington-Parkersburg Community School District, IA
Senior: I truly believe that Aplington-Parkersburg High School is a great place. This is a place where students and staff members get along. The staff here at Aplington-Parkersburg goes above and beyond to make sure that the students know that they not only care about their job, but they care about every single student within in the building. This has been my home for the last 18 years, and I am sad to have to move on with my life. That is not a feeling that everyone has when leaving high school, but it is for students here.
