Senior: Now that I am a senior at RECHS, I am greatly appreciative for this experience that I have been so grateful to have. Being college ready is one of our schools main goals, along with being successful in all areas of life and academics. Graduating with a college degree along with my high school diploma gives me a competitive edge when it comes to the collegiate world. Overall my experience and my school has changed my life. I love the campus setting, and every one of my teachers and professors are so willing to help me on anything that I need whether it be for their class or not. It has really showed me the true value of an education when i see how much time and effort each teacher puts into us as students there. Its truly amazing!

Southwestern Randolph High School
- Randolph County Schools, NC
Senior: Southwestern Randolph High School is where I have spent the last three years of my life, and now its my senior year. This school is a wonderful place filled with kind people and well-educated teachers. Southwest is often overlooked because of its location, and our numbers are starting to drop. We need something to help stand out from other schools, and improved technology is the answer. Southwest deserves updated classrooms with new technology. Students learn best with technology, and an addition of tablets or laptops to the classrooms would benefit our motivation to learn. Overall, Southwest is an outstanding school with teachers that are helpful, caring, and truly have the desire to teach. I have made some of the best memories of my life here that I will cherish forever because of the support of friends and teachers who want me to succeed. I am so glad that I ended up going to Southwestern Randolph because so far I have had an exceptional high school experience!

Works Here: As the “departing longtime headmaster” mentioned in a recent post, I acknowledge that no one school is the best fit for every family or child. But having served at public and private institutions in six states, I have never experienced a more authentic Community of Faith and Learning than exists at Trinity Academy. And the academic, spiritual and cultural outcomes demonstrated by alumni successes stand comparison to any public or private school in North Carolina. I would happily remain at Trinity for the duration of my career were it not for the recent passing of my father, resulting in a need to be close enough to assist extended family with my widowed mother’s care in Texas. Happily, I have an opportunity to serve another school that is very similar to Trinity there, but I leave Trinity in the hands of a truly outstanding team of faculty and administrators.
